Engineering Manager

Job Description


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee the activities of the engineering dept with a focus on organizational goals
  • Implement Best Practices that will provide clear guidelines for the engineering team and result in the well-executed production of parts
  • Collaborate with the management team to formulate designs and apply sound engineering principles for new and existing products
  • Utilize technology to improve performance, reduce setup time, and increase efficiency both in engineering and production
  • Utilize Six Sigma and Lean processes to champion continuous improvement and drive cost out of the organization


Qualifications/Experience

  • BSME, with 10+ years in a manufacturing setting, including 5 years in a management role
  • Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other commonly used business/engineering software
  • Strong understanding of Product Launches, DFMEA, GD&T, Metal Fabrication, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement
  • Strong leadership skills, including but not limited to communicating, listening, delegating and forward thinking.
