Job Description

 

Exciting opportunity to design and develop automated machinery for advanced manufacturing using robotics, vision, sensing, measurement, and control systems. Established, rapidly growing factory automation equipment manufacturer is seeking Manufacturing Engineers. Consistent, thorough, hands-on problem solvers will excel.



Job Responsibilities:


Create drawings of parts and assemblies for manufacture

Interpret design intent of 3D models created by design engineers to create drawings of parts and assemblies that can be used in the shop

Input and maintain manufacturing data in ERP system

Create and maintain item cards for all purchased parts, manufactured parts, and assemblies

Build bill of material trees for manufactured assemblies

Generate shop routings for manufactured components

Prepare work instructions as needed for manufacturing steps

Use estimator tools to create standards for material consumption and throughput of manufacturing steps

Create quality control documents

Create estimates/quotes per customer specifications

 


Education & Experience:


Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technical field or equivalent work experience

2 to 5 years experience in manufacturing or fabricating environment

Experience with manufacturing equipment and techniques such as laser, waterjet, saw, press brake, shear, lathe, mill, welding, and assembly.

3D CAD modeling experience (SolidWorks is preferred)

Knowledge of GD&T, weld symbols, and other drawing basics

Basic machine fabrication and assembly knowledge

Strong communication and organizational skills

Great attention to detail

Ability to work well with multiple departments simultaneously to obtain results

Goal oriented with good time management skills
